BAI is obliged to point out that the European Commission provides a platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution, which can be accessed at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. BAI is neither obliged nor willing to participate in such a dispute settlement procedure.
When visiting our web pages or when using our programs, apps or plugins, it is usually not necessary to specify personal data. However if personal data is required anyway (e.g. in our SendXMS order form) this data will be encrypted (using https).
Our programs, apps or plugins do not collect data that goes beyond the described functionality of the application. In particular, no data is transferred to BAI or to third parties. All data is stored locally (unless explicitly configured differently by the user).
If our programs, apps or plugins request permissions, this is explained by the functional description of the corresponding application. For example, the BAIlogger app requires many permissions because it can be configured to use a variety of different system properties. If a certain system property is excluded in the configuration of an application, then the appropriate permissions will not be used. If individual permissions are not granted, specific functionality limitations may occur.
BAI will only process personally identifiable information (in the interest of conducting our business) that we receive directly from our customers as part of our business relationship. In addition, we process personal data that we collect from other companies, e.g. to execute orders, to fulfill contracts or on the basis of your consent.
BAI processes the aforementioned personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (German Federal Data Protection Act).
Within our organization, only the individuals and entities receive your personal information that they need to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations. We only transfer data to third parties if this is necessary to fulfill a contractual obligation or if there is a legal obligation. The latter is the case when government institutions (e.g. authorities) request written information, a court order or a legal basis for disclosure exists. A transmission to third parties in addition, does not take place.
A transfer/storage of personal data in so-called third countries outside the EU does not take place.
BAI does not track user behavior (e.g. for advertising).
BAI processes and stores your personal information as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of our contractual obligations and for all other stated purposes or as provided for by the statutory retention periods.
When you visit our website, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends as log data. This log data contains e.g. information such as your IP address, the domain from which you are accessing or the destination website. The log data is only used to monitor the website and service usage as well as the technical administration of the website.
Our web pages are regularly checked with current virus scanners.
Our web pages contain some links to other web pages. BAI is not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of other Web sites.
According to GDPR you may have the right on:
- information about what data we have about you,
- correction of your possibly wrong personal data,
- deletion of your no longer required personal data,
- restriction of the processing of your personal data,
- objection to the processing of your personal data,
- complaining to the data protection supervisory authority,
- revocation of your data protection consent.
If you have questions about your personal data, you can always contact us in written form.
